Ghosts of Swinetown is a group of friends from Rhinelander, Wisconsin, who love music and love playing music with people who love music. Since the spring of 2009, weve been doing our thing at music festivals and biker swap meets, in basements and living rooms, backyards and bonfires, pizza joints and coffee houses, country roadhouses and downtown bars, bringing our special brand of original music and good-timin spirit wherever we can find a fun crowd and friendly faces. Our debut CD, Hotel Fenlon, was recorded in the summer of 2009 by our good friend and fellow Swinetown musician Scott Kirby and brings together the creative energies and the wide range of stylistic backgrounds of everyone involved. You'll hear hints of bluegrass, folk, reggae, blues, and rock, all screwed up into what we like to call "Screwgrass", a uniquely Northwoods style that just about everybody from 8 to 80 can enjoy. In a nutshell, our music is a blend of all the styles of music that we love, brought together with acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, violin, harmonica, and a slew of musical surprises. When folks have as much fun playing music as we do, it's hard for an audience not to enjoy, no matter what kind of music you like.
